Ash and Tabu at loggerheads!

The Aishwarya Rai starrer 'Chokher Bali' and the Tabu starrer 'Abar Aranye' will compete in the best parallel cinema category at the first global awards constituted exclusively for Bengali films produced in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Besides, Tabu and Tollywood's reigning screen queen Rituparna Sengupta will vie for the top spot in the first international movie awards for Bengali cinema to be announced in New York on April 17.
While Tabu was nominated in the best actress category for her performance in 'Abar Aranye', Gautam Ghose's much acclaimed sequel to Satyjit Ray's 'Aranyer Din Ratri', Sengupta made it to the final list for Tarun Majumdar's 'Alo'.
