Dabboo Ratnani: "I was jittery when I shot Aishwarya!"

I have never had any problems with Ash, though I have heard people complain Ash throws tantrums. The bigger the stars, the more down-to-earth they are. She will wear whatever you tell her. Plus, she’ll add a lot of value, whether in styling or in her poses. Her confidence level in front of the camera is electrifying.
When I was an assistant photographer, she was one face I always dreamt of shooting. The first time I shot with her was a dream come true. For every photographer, shooting Ash is a must.
I was very jittery when I shot her for the first time though I knew her from her modelling days. People like her and Amitabh Bachchan have this aura around them that unnerve you.
When I shoot Ash, I do the same picture in colour, black-and-white, cross-process or in lots of variations. Because, as I said, it is not every day that you shoot Ash. I shoot up to maybe five rolls per outfit, so maybe about 700 to 800 pictures a day!
