Taj Mahal: The Great Indian Experience
5 June, 2001

This is the true story of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's commitment to his beautiful Queen Mumtaz Mahal (to be played by Miss World Aishwarya Rai) for whom he built the magnificent monument, the Seventh Wonder of the World - Taj Mahal. Through the film the viewer explores this flawless monument, this architectural wonder in all its glory as it stands embedded in the heart of India today. The larger canvass of India forms the backdrop to the film - the splendid forts and palaces; the Himalayas, the vast deserts of Rajasthan, the plateau of the Deccan, the majestic costumes, the rich music and dance and the fascinating customs and celebrations. Taj Mahal - The Great Indian Experience is a dramatic modern-day epic with a visually stunning recreation of the grandeur of Mughal-ruled India, four hundred years ago. The film is enriched with the passionate sounds of Indian music.
