The regal look of Amitabh Bachchan, the charm of Aishwarya Rai or the good looks of Brad Pitt and Kylie's bottom, have failed to reverse the £37 million losses suffered by Tussauds Group, owners of the world famous Madame Tussauds wax museum in London.

Ever since the launch of the wax figure of Big B and the recent unveiling of Aishwarya Rai's wax replica at Madame Tussaud's, the number of visitors from the sub-continent and the British Asians has gone up tremendously. But, the leisure group has reportedly been hit badly by a slump in the German economy and the decline in tourists from the US since 9/11.

The Group had bought Germany's largest leisure and family park in 2001 but declining economy there made families and tourists stay away from its European attractions. However, the Group, which also partly owns the London Eye Company, is doing well in the UK.
