rediff.com takes a look at the 'cool' line-up of releases this winter.
Jodhaa Akbar
Cast: Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai
Director: Ashutosh Gowariker
Plot: Set in 16th century India, Jodhaa Akbar is an epic story of true love between Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar (Hrithik) and his Hindu Rajput wife, Jodhabai (Aishwarya), emerging from the shadows of a marriage of convinience and politics.
Pros: A filmmaker of Ashutosh Gowariker's sensitivity and sensibility helming the scalding-hot duo of Dhoom 2 in an extravagant historical is certainly worth the price of admission. Also the mere thought of A R Rahman helming the soundtrack is very, very inviting.
Cons: Gowarikar has the tendency to get carried away with the length of his movies. Hopefully, this one won't have a three and a half hours plus running time.
Release date: January 25
