
In July, Aishwarya treated herself to a new toy, a Lexus 4WD vehicle.
At the Hong Kong Film Mart, Chokher Bali did booming business solely on the steam of Ash's presence in the movie. In other film news, Khakee was screened at the Jerusalem Film Festival on July 13th.
On July 19th, Ash and Vivek visited InOrbit Mall in Mumbai for the launch of the song "No No" from Kyun? Ho Gaya Na and also attended a press conference afterwards. Thousands of fans packed the mall to catch a glimpse of the stars.
Aishwarya continued shooting for PNC's Shabd.

On August 1st, Aishwarya was present at the inauguration of the Aditya Jyot Eye Bank and Hospital in conjunction with her charity work with the Eye Bank Association of India (EBAI).
On the 7th she was felicitated by the President in New Delhi at the Polio Summit for her work with the campaign to eradicate Polio in India.
August 8th and 9th saw Ash on a promotional spree for her next release Kyun? Ho Gaya Na with real-life love interest Vivek Oberoi. The two were in Kanpur on the 8th and Lucknow on the 9th for promotional appearances.
August 13th saw the release of Kyun? Ho Gaya Na in theaters. The film was not received well by audiences and weak storyline and lack of chemistry between the costars were said to be the blame.
PNC's Shabd saw the completion of it's principal photography and entered into post-production.
On the 27th Aishwarya met with winners of the Lux Star Bano Contest in Mumbai.
In August, Aishwarya met with estranged friend Shahrukh Khan at Subhash Ghai's party and the two reportedly mended fences. Also at the National Awards, Chokher Bali made quite a splash, winning Best Bengali Film of 2003 and also picking up awards in the costumes and art direction categories.

On September 3rd, Aishwarya visited with young cancer patients in the company of beau Vivek Oberoi, who was celebrating his birthday that same day.
Aishwarya Rai and a Leicester University law graduate, Haresh Sood were named co-winners of a global media award, the 2004 Global Foreign Artiste Debutantes to Mainstream Media Award. Both were honoured in the awards brochure for having excelled in more than one field either through film, music, fashion, education, politics or many other combined fields.
On the 21st, she visited cancer patients on the eve of Rose Day in Mumbai. The next day, she was present at a promotional press conference for Bride & Prejudice in New Delhi, India.
Universal Music launched the Hindi soundtrack for the Hindi dubbed version of Bride & Prejudice, titled Balle Balle! Amritsar to LA, in Mumbai on the 23rd.
It was said that the Pune Film Festival became the Aishwarya Rai festival for about an hour as the lady walked into the Ganesh Kala Krida Manch hall to inaugurate the cultural extravaganza on the 24th. That same day, Chokher Bali was released in it's dubbed Hindi version.
On the 25th, Bride & Prejudice was screened at the Jane Austen Festival in Bath. Gurinder Chadha was present for the screening.
Chokher Bali was screened at the Vancouver Film Festival on the 26th.
It was announced that The Rai would receive a whopping Rs. 3 crores for the next advert for the Hindustan Lever's Lux brand. This sum was overshadowed by the reported Rs. 5 crores the lady was paid for her latest Nakshatra diamonds advert shot by director of The Cell, Tarsem Singh, in Namibia.
Aishwarya arrived in London on the 29th in preparation for the release of Bride & Prejudice in the UK. The next day she was a presenter at the MOBO Awards at the Royal Albert Hall.
